The sauna and its meeting facilities were built in May 2012, and warmly welcome you to Saimaa. The premises have been designed to meet the needs of different groups in the best possible way, and thus, will certainly be suitable for your event too.

Experience Finnish sauna culture in a truly unique way on a sauna cruise along the beautiful Vuoksi River in Imatra. Our spacious sauna raft offers a relaxing and memorable setting for friends, families, and groups looking to combine nature, wellbeing, and good company.

We organise sauna cruises on request all year round, so you can enjoy the experience in summer sunshine, autumn colours, winter frost, or spring light. On our full-service cruises, you can focus entirely on relaxing while our friendly staff takes care of everything else. Simply sit back, enjoy the warmth of the sauna, and admire the changing river scenery through the large windows.

The sauna raft can accommodate larger groups at the same time and offers comfortable spaces both inside and on deck for socialising and unwinding. There is no serving on the sauna deck, so you’re welcome to bring your own drinks. For food, you can either hire a Grill Master to take care of grilling for your group or rent a grill and prepare your own meals on board.

Add an unforgettable nature experience with dry-suit floating in the Vuoksi River. Wearing a high-quality dry suit, you’ll float comfortably and safely in the gently flowing water and enjoy the calming embrace of the river — all year round, in any weather. This relaxing and slightly adventurous activity pairs perfectly with a sauna session and offers a completely new way to experience Finnish nature.

The pride of the fishing park Räihän Kuohu is a reservation sauna on the bank of Vuoksi. The natural gas stove relaxes with its soft steams, and is guaranteed not to leave anyone cold. Räihän Kuohu with its ancillary facilities is great for e.g. for celebrating birthdays and other parties, as well as companies to have a nice break from work.

Räihän Kuohu's famous gentle baths are provided by a natural gas stove with about 300 kg of stones. The sauna can comfortably accommodate 10 people. 20 people in the catering and meeting room connected to the sauna. The serving area has a refrigerator, a refrigerator for drinks and a kitchenette.

In front of the sauna is a large covered terrace with furniture for 15–20 people. A gas grill is also available by agreement.

The terrace is covered and the scenery is right by the water. From the terrace of the private sauna, you can easily take the stairs to take a dip in the open water and in the summer to swim in the refreshing Vuoksi. It is also nice to observe the activities of Varpasaari from the terrace.

To the reservation sauna, you can order food or smaller servings from our restaurant. You can find ordered dishes for larger groups from the order menu (menu in English). The menu can be customized according to your wishes. There is no right to serve alcohol at the sauna, but your own servings are allowed and you can bring them to cool down before the event.

Taikametsä is the Heart of Imatra Spa
Imatra Spa’s sauna and pool area, Taikametsä Spa, offers refreshing energy for guests of all ages. This impressive complex, inspired by Finnish nature, pampers you with warm pools and provides relaxation for both body and mind.

Taikametsä Spa covers an area of about 1500 m² and features a 80-meter waterslide as well as 16 different pools, where the water temperature varies from +8°C to a luxurious +38°C, depending on the pool. The spa also includes a smaller waterslide and a dedicated toddler pool with its own slide.

The extensive pool area offers a variety of facilities:different recreational pools, water massage points, the Yorokobi hot pool, jacuzzis and bubble benches, cold and hot pools,
water curtains, a rock waterfall, a rain bridge, a canyon section, and a heated outdoor pool accessible directly from Taikametsä all year round. Taikametsä Spa also includes a water jogging pool, a therapy pool, and a 20-meter swimming lane.

There are 10 saunas in the spa, including two steam saunas and eight Finnish saunas (four for women, four for men). One of the steam saunas is a unisex sauna.

Unlimited access to Taikametsä saunas and pools is always included in all accommodation and spa holiday packages.

The atmospheric Ukonlinna sauna village on the shores of Lake Saimaa in Imatra offers a traditional Finnish sauna experience for all sauna visitors.

Sauna services are open all year round. There are two saunas in use, the General sauna for women and men and the Landscape sauna, which operates as a mixed sauna. The saunas are also available by appointment.

A landscape sauna is a sauna building that has a sauna, washroom, changing room and fireplace room. During mixed shifts in the landscape sauna, the changing rooms and washing rooms are located in the general sauna. We recommend that you bring suitable footwear. The distance from the washing rooms to the landscape sauna is approximately 30 metres.

Summer swimming season 1.5.–30.9.

The public sauna is open every day. Weekdays Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm and weekends Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 9 pm.

The public sauna is a sauna building with separate saunas, washrooms and changing rooms for men and women. Sauna visitors have access to a shared sauna room for men and women. You can take a dip in the refreshing Saimaa almost directly from the sauna room.
